What is involved in a neuter?
As you will see in the following pictures, a lot goes into getting your dog neutered. As with any complicated procedure, there are a lot of different ways to go about it. All surgery is serious, even “routine” procedures. The following slides show what we do to make it safe and comfortable for our patients. We hope you enjoy reading how we do surgery at Frost Family Pet Clinic.
This surgery, called a castration, is a surgery performed under general anesthesia. This surgery removed the reproductive organ in male dogs. Statistically, dogs that are neutered live almost twice as long as intact dogs! Plus it prevents the conception of puppies and helps limit our tremendous dog and cat overpopulation problem.
