This winter we’ve put together some tips on how to keep your pet warm and safe while you both enjoy this season!
1. Dress your pet in coats of sweaters and they even make little booties for their paws!
2. Be sure to limit their time outside. Take them out to go potty and then bring them right back in to your warm home. When you bring them in, be sure to clean their paws to get the snow, ice and salt stuck between their pads off. Remember, if it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them.
3. If your pet likes to run around outside, make sure that they avoid the ice. Not only can it damage the bottom of their paw pads, but if they slip it can cause an injury.
4. Another helpful tip is to make sure that your pet is microchipped and has a collar on. The snow hides the recognizable smells that might help your pet find their way home if they ever get lost.
